Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Combine corn meal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add milk, egg, and oil. Beat for 1 minute.
  4. Pour into an 8 inch square pan, or spoon into 12 prepared muffin cups.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes.
