Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3-4 tbsp ice water

Directions:

  1. In a food processor, mix 2 cups flour, 1/4 tsp. salt and 2/3 cup chilled shortening or butter until crumbly. With machine on, drizzle in 3 to 4 Tbsp. ice water and process just until dough forms a smooth ball, about 10 seconds. Divide in half, flatten into 2 (6-inch) disks and wrap in wax paper. Refrigerate for at least 45 minutes. On a floured surface, roll 1 disk to an 11-inch round. Fit gently into a 9-inch pie plate; crimp edge. Roll out top crust.
