Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Wash and take the stems off of the Strawberries.
  2. Make a batter with eggs, flour, sugar, and Strawberry Wine. A good size batch of batter is 4eggs, 2 cups flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar and about 1/2 cup of wine. Use the wine to thin the batter. You want a medium thickness to it, not to thin but not to thick.
  3. Bring the oil to 350, I like peanut oil but you could use any, and drop the battered berries into the oil.
  4. Cook to a light brown. Be careful not to over cook, the berries will explode if cooked to long.
  5. Place the berries onto a paper lined or paper towel lined pan and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  6. Let them cool for a few minutes before eating.
  7. You will have plenty of batter left to either do more berries or put in a sealable container and save for next weekend. Enjoy.
