  1. Soak beans overnite
  2. In a large soup pot, combine beans,water,broth, salt, ham,bay, thyme,onion, celery.
  3. Simmer 2 1/2 -3 hours.
  4. Add tomatoes,garlic, sausage and chicken
  5. Simmer 1 1/2 hours more
