Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Mix flour, baking soda and salt.
  2. Cream 1/4 cup butter or margarine.
  3. Gradually add brown sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
  4. Add corn syrup and egg.
  5. Blend well.
  6. Stir in flour mixture, coconut and vanilla.
  7. Drop by half teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets, leaving 2 inches between.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius) about 10 minutes.
  9. Cool on baking sheets for 1 minute.
  10. Remove quickly and finish cooling on racks. (If wafer hardens, return briefly to oven).
  11. Melt chocolate and 1 tablespoon butter in pan over very low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
  12. Drizzle chocolate over cookies.
