Fiery Garlic Bagel Thins

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp tabasco sauce

Directions:

  1. Slice bagels crosswise into fifths.
  2. In small saucepan, melt butter with garlic and simmer over very low heat 2 minutes or until garlic has softened.
  3. Add lemon juice, Tabasco and salt to taste.
  4. Liberally brush one side of each bagel with lemon-garlic butter.
  5. Broil bagels (in preheated oven) on one side until golden.
  6. Watch carefully; this takes only a minute.
  7. Turn bagels over and broil until golden.
  8. Serve hot or store in an air-tight container.
