Drunk Baked Apples And Flamed Bananas

Ingredients:

  • 4 large bananas
  • filling
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp brandy
  • topping
  • 1-1/2 oz butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 4 tsp rum
  • whipped cream

Directions:

  1. Wash and core the apples then score around middle with sharp knife to prevent bursting.
  2. Mix together or blend in a food processor the dried fruit, nuts, cinnamon and brandy.
  3. Stuff mixture into the apples then place in ovenproof dish.
  4. Add 1/4 water and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
  5. Slice bananas in half lengthwise then melt butter in skillet over gentle heat.
  6. Add sugar and cinnamon then stir well and add the bananas.
  7. Cook gently on either side for 5 minutes.
  8. Add rum to pan and allow to heat up a few minutes then light rum with a match.
  9. Serve immediately with the baked apples and whipped cream.
