Dill Buttermilk Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp baking powder , plus
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill
  • 2 tsp dried dill
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, dill, baking soda, salt and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Add buttermilk a little at a time until a soft dough forms.
  4. Turn into a greased 9 inch by 5 inch (2 litre) loaf pan.
  5. Bake for 50 minutes or until loaf is golden brown.
  6. Serve warm; reheat when needed.
