Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. package. pitted dates
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 heaping tbsp. flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar

Directions:

  1. Grind together dates and walnuts in a food processor. Beat egg yolks and whites separately. Add beaten yolks to date-walnut mixture and blend. Mix in baking powder, flour, sugar and vanilla. Fold in the beaten egg whites. Bake in greased 8 x 8 pan for approximately 40 minutes at 365. Serve warm in squares topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
