Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Chop into small pieces and put in a big bowl. Add sunflower seeds if the feeling hits you.
  2. Look at the amount of veggies in your bowl and add about half that much of shredded cheese (I use mild cheddar or a combo of cheddar and Monterey jack.)
  3. Now, dampen your salad with Ranch Dressing that's been mixed with sour cream. You have to be the judge of how much sour cream. I probably use three parts dressing to one part sour cream.
  4. You can add chopped-ham, bacon, or deli chicken or deli turkey, but you don't have to. You can also add freshly cooked and crumbled bacon.
  5. You can leave out any of the veggies if they offend you. You can add crispy veggies that appeal to you, like water chestnuts and red, green, yellow and orange peppers.
  6. And for those who are not purists about the crunch, you can add finely chopped lettuce and/or boiled eggs.
