Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 lb butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • frosting: ........................
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts -- optional

Directions:

  1. Mix flour and sugar together.
  2. Mix all other ingredients together and
  3. Bring to a boil in pan. Mix all together and beat well.
  4. Pour in jelly roll pan that has been greased and lightly floured.
  5. In preheated oven, Bake at 400F for 35 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center, comes out clean..
  6. For frosting, mix butter, vanilla, cocoa, milk
  7. And nuts together. Bring to a boil and pour mix over powdered sugar.
  8. Mix well. Frost cake warm while warm.
