Directions:

  1. Make sure that all your ingredients are room temperature, this is critical. Begin the cookie dough. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda in a small bowl. Beat Crisco, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and pure vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Gradually beat the flour mixture into the wet ingredients. Stir in Reese’s peanut butter chips and milk chocolate chips by hand. Cover bowl tightly with plastic wrap, place in fridge until brownie batter is done. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Grease a 15” by 11” metal pan with 1 tablespoon of butter. Prepare the brownie batter. In a large mixing bowl combine the melted butter, sugar, and pure vanilla extract. Beat in eggs one at a time. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in a small bowl. Stir the flour mixture gradually into the egg mixture. When well blended, stir in Reese’s peanut butter chips.
  3. Pour the brownie batter into the greased 15” by 11” metal pan. Use two thirds of the dough and press pieces of the dough down into the brownie batter, throughout the pan. Use the other 1/3 of dough for delicious peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies!
  4. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes until the Crownies pull away from the edge of the pan. When done baking, let cool on a rack for 20-30 minutes, before cutting! It’s tempting to cut them before they cool, but they will mush together, and instead of looking like a Crownie, they’ll look like a big clump of chocolate, peanut butter mess. Enjoy!
