Creamy Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 3 tbsp, butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tbsp butter

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Cook onion in butter until soft
  3. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in milk.
  5. Simmer until thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  6. Lay 1/3 of potatoes in bottom on serving casserole dish.
  7. Pour 1/3 of the hot mixture over potatoes.
  8. Repeat twice.
  9. Dot top with butter.
  10. Bake covered, for 30 minutes, then uncovered for about 60 minutes.
