Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. On large cookie sheet lay out bread and sprinkle with water until damp
  2. Press out water(you can do this on paper towels)
  3. Melt butter in skillet
  4. Saute carrots 2-3 mins
  5. Add onions and saute 1-2 mins
  6. Add green pepper and saute 1-2 mins
  7. Remove from heat
  8. Add salt, pepper and hot sauce
  9. Pour into large bowl
  10. Add egg and gently mix
  11. Tear bread into small pieces and toss in bowl
  12. Add crab
  13. Use your hands and mix evenly but gently
  14. Form mixture into cakes (2 1/2-3 inches across)
  15. Hold in hand and sprinkle with bread crumbs (all sides)
  16. Now you can fry on medium heat in some oil until brown OR
  17. Bake in oven on 350*F for about 20 mins
  18. I prefer to fry in oil for about 5 minutes each side!
