Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 16 oz cans chile beans (1 hot , 1 medium)
  • 1 8 oz can tomatoe sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp hot red pepers (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic
  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tbsp molasses
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne

Directions:

  1. Brown ground beef and onions. Drain grease
  2. Add all remaining ingrediants, cover and simmer for 1 hour. Stir occassionly.
  3. If using stew meat, cut into small pieces. You may have to simmer longer (1 1/2 hours) to make meat tender.
  4. Great with corn bread.
