I'm vegetarian but if I ever slip it may be on this recipe. A family favorite
Ingredients:
1lb ground beef or stew meat
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 16oz cans chile beans (1 hot, 1 medium)
1 8oz can tomatoe sauce
1 cup water
1tsp hot red pepers (optional)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic
3tbs chili powder
1tbs molasses
1/8 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp cayenne
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef and onions. Drain grease
2. Add all remaining ingrediants, cover and simmer for 1 hour. Stir occassionly.
3. If using stew meat, cut into small pieces. You may have to simmer longer (1 1/2 hours) to make meat tender.
4. Great with corn bread.
