Directions:

  1. Trim excess fat from steak; sprinkle flour evenly on both sides of steak, and pound with a meat mallet.
  2. Melt shortening in a large Dutch oven; brown steak on both sides. Combine remaining ingredients, stirring well; pour over steak. Cover and bake at 350° for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until tender, adding more water, if necessary.
