Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1-1/2 cup fresh milk
  • 1/1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup bacon grease
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • about 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup corn (i like the kernels off a fresh ear of that has been roated)
  • 1/2 cup onion,chopped
  • 1/4 cup pinientos,diced

Directions:

  1. Mix your sourdough starter with the cornmeal,mikl,eggs and sugar.
  2. Sir in the butter,salt and baking soda,corn,onion,cheese,green chiles and the pimientos.
  3. Place in pan,bake at 400 degrees for about 35 minutes or until golden.
