Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup. flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup. brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup. chopped walnuts

Directions:

  1. Cream together butter, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
  2. Stir in 1 cup flour. Pat into bottom of 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  4. Meanwhile, beat eggs until blended.
  5. Add 2 tablespoons flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  6. Stir in coconut and nuts.
  7. Spread over top of baked layer.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes longer or until toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool. Cut into diamonds.
  10. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
