Coconut And Hazelnut Pudding Squares

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Pre heat the oven to 350f ( 180C )
  2. Put all the ingredients, except the nuts, in a saucepan and mix together.
  3. Slowly bring to a boil, stirring all the time.
  4. Remove from the heat and leave to cool.
  5. The mixture at this stage should be thick.
  6. Press the mixture into a Swiss roll tin. (It should be only 1 cm or 1/2 inch thick.)
  7. Roughly chop the hazelnuts or almonds and sprinkle over the top to decorate.
  8. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
  9. Lightly dust with sifted icing sugar, cut into squares and serve hot or cold.
  10. Accompany with mascarpone cheese or cream.
  11. Makes 20 slices.
