Cocoa Syrup (Pre 1940)

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Cook cocoa and water together, until smooth and thick.
  2. Add sugar and salt and cook a few more minutes longer.
  3. Add butter and vanilla.
  4. Pour into cantainer.
  5. Keep In refrig.
