Classic Walnut Brownies

Ingredients:

  • 8 eggs
  • 4 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups butter
  • 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups walnut halves

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Melt together butter and chocolate over a double boiler.
  3. Combine sugar an eggs until well mixed.
  4. Add cooled chocolate mixture.
  5. Sift flour together with baking powder and salt.
  6. Add dry ingredients to wet, mix thoroughly.
  7. Mix in walnuts.
  8. Pour into 13 x 18 shallow baking pan.
  9. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
