Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of pecan halves
  • 4 tbsp of unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp of water
  • 1 tbsp of cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of light brown sugar

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F
  2. In a small bowl, melt the butter then add the water.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  4. Pour sugar mixture into the melted butter and mix thoroughly.
  5. Put pecan halves in a large freezer bag.
  6. Dump the butter and sugar mixture over the pecans and close the bag.
  7. Shake the contents until pecans are fully coated.
  8. Pour contents onto a lightly greased baking sheet, and place in oven.
  9. Bake for 10 minutes, stirring every 2-3 minutes. Do not bake longer than 10 minutes, or it will burn!
  10. Carefully move contents from the baking sheet to wax paper and allow to cool for at least 10 minutes.
  11. Break apart the pecans and serve alone or with other nuts to add some kick to a nut mix.
