Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Soften the gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes.
  2. Combine half the sugar with the yolks.
  3. Add hot water and salt.
  4. Cook over boiling water until mix coats a spoon.
  5. Add gelatin; dissolve in hot custard.
  6. When the mixture thickens, beat egg white until stiff.
  7. Beat in remaining sugar, nutmeg, and rum, blend into mixture.
  8. Pour into pie shell.
  9. Let cool before topping with whipped cream (You may sprinkle almonds on top).
