  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together brown sugar, cocoa and cornstarch.
  2. Gradually mix in milk until well blended.
  3. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 1 minute.
  4. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla.
  5. Serve right away.
