Chicken Breast In Sour Cream Beer Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 cup. flour
  • 6 tbsp. butter
  • 4 tbsp. flour
  • 1 cup. beer
  • 1 cup. sour cream
  • salt to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Add salt and pepper to the flour,
  3. Add the chicken to the seasoned flour and cover chicken well with it.
  4. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a heavy skillet and brown the chicken well on both sides.
  5. Remove the chicken and place in a casserole dish.
  6. Add 2 tablespoons butter in skillet and saute the mushrooms in it for 5 minutes.
  7. Add mushrooms to the chicken in the casserole dish.
  8. Put 2 more tablespoons butter in the casserole dish.
  9. Put 2 tablespoons butter in the skillet and when hot, blend in the 4 Tbs. of flour until smooth and slowly add the 2 cups chicken broth, stirring constantly.
  10. Add 1 cup beer and cook over a low heat, stirring constantly until
  11. Thickened and smooth.
  12. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream.
  13. Taste for seasoning and pour the sauce over the chicken.
  14. Bake for 40 minutes or until chicken is tender.
