Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cook potatoes in boiling water to cover 5 minutes, drain.
  2. Layer 1/3 potato slices, 1/3 onion slices, and 1/3 cheese slices in lightly greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle 1/4 tsp salt and pepper each. Repeat layers twice. Top with cheddar cheese.
  3. Melt butter in heavy sauce pan. add flour, whisking until smooth, cook whisking constantly, 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Remove from heat, pour over potato mixture.
  4. Bake at 400 for 35 minutes ou until golden. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
