Caramel Crunch Popcorn

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 cup slivered almonds toasted
  • 11/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Combine popcorn & nuts on a cookie sheet and keep warm in a 225 degree oven.
  2. In a sauce pan combine sugar, butter, and corn syrup.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  4. Cook & stir until mixture turns carmel color & 280 degrees on candy thermometer.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  6. Remove popcorn from heat & pour carmel mixture over popcorn.
  7. Mix well using two forks.
  8. Turn our onto aluminum foil and cool.
