Ingredients:

  • 12 slices white bread
  • 1 (19 oz) can pie filling (your choice )

Directions:

  1. Pish 1 slice of bread in each side of pie iron with buttered side against iron. put spoonful of pie filling in center. Close iron tightly. Pull off bread around outside edges. Cook on medium hot grill until toasted on both sides. for 6 servings there will be pie filling left. Store in fridge or freeze, or keep making pies until all gone.
  2. Variation:.
  3. For a sweeter pie crsut sprinkle buttered side with sugar. Tip bread up so excess sugar falls off. place pie in iron.
  4. Note: Pie irons are sold where camper's supplies are. they are the round ones, square, and double ones.
