Ingredients:

  • 11/2 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp flour ( heaping)
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup crisco
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar (fine )

Directions:

  1. Combine milk, flour, vanilla, and salt. Strain and cook with medium heat until the mixture begins to bubble/thicken. Remove from heat and refrigerate stirring occasionally.
  2. Once mixture has cooled cream together butter, Crisco, and sugar. Add mixture until well blended and frosting is fluffy.
