Ingredients:

  • 5 -8 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 3 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Set aside 5 cups of the flour with baking powder& salt added.
  2. Beat butter and sugar until light& fluffy.
  3. Add eggs 1 at a time, milk, and vanilla mixing well.
  4. Add whatever spices or fruit you want here.
  5. Stir in flour until hold together and can be kneaded.
  6. May need to add additional reserved flour.
  7. Turn out on to floured surface and knead for about 3 minutes.
  8. Do not over work the dough.
  9. Roll on floured surface to 1/2- 1 inch thickness.
  10. Cut into desired shape.
  11. Bake 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
