Broad Bean Soup

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 leek
  • 2 pints of water
  • sprig of rosemary
  • sprig of thyme
  • 12 fl oz milk
  • salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Saute onions and garlic season
  2. Add water and herbs bring to the boil
  3. Simmer add beans
  4. Fry the bacon
  5. Stir in bacon to soup
  6. Add salt pepper and nutmeg
  7. Simmer for 10 minutes
