Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground sage
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp flour

Directions:

  1. Mix ground meat, spices and herbs in large bowl.
  2. In warm water, add brown sugar and maple syrup, stir to mix well.
  3. Add to ground meat and mix well.
  4. Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes to chill.
  5. Form patties. Can use a round egg mold and saucer to make uniform size.
  6. Fry in heavy skillet on medium heat. Brown both sides.
  7. Pack each patties in plastic wrap and freeze.
  8. Reheat in pan and serve with egg scramble or dice and add to scramble.
  9. OPTIONS and/or SUBSTITIONS:.
  10. 1 samll onion, fine diced.
  11. 2 garlic cloves, minced.
  12. 2 tablespoons cilantro.
  13. 2 tablespoons fresh chives.
  14. 1/2 tsp dried basil.
  15. 1/2 tsp dried oregano.
  16. 1/2 tsp ground cayenne.
