Ingredients:

  • 1 package (2 layer size) yellow cake mix
  • 1 package (3.4oz) vanilla instant pudding
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1-1/2 cup thawed whipped topping ,divided

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350.
  2. Prepare cake batter and bake as directed on pkg. for 24 cupcakes. Cool completely.
  3. Beat pudding mix and milk with whisk 2 mins. Let stand 5 mins. Meanwhile,use serrated knife to cut cupcakes in half horizontally. Stir 1/2 c whipped topping into pudding.;spoon into bottom halves of cupcakes,using about 1 Tbs for each. Cover with cupcake tops.
  4. Microwave remaining whipped topping and chocolate in microwaveable bowl on high 1-1/2 mins,or till chocolate is almost melted,stirring after 1 min. Stir till chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Let stand 15 mins. Spread onto cupcakes. Refrigerate 15 mins. before serving.
