Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • dough : 2 cup flour- sifted
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 - 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 tbsp butter

Directions:

  1. Filling:combine together in a bowl and microwave for 3 minutes.
  2. Dough: combine flour,eggs,& salt.
  3. Add h2o little a time-just until moistened & workable & holds together
  4. Knead for a few minutes
  5. Cut dough in half
  6. Roll one half out to 1/4 thickness
  7. Cut dough into 4 circles
  8. For each perogie place a Tbsp. of filling in center of dough
  9. Fold over to form a 1/2 moon
  10. Crimp edges together w/ fork tines
  11. Repeat w/ other half of the dough
  12. Boil a pot of water
  13. When the water is boiling add 1tbsp salt
  14. Add perogies
  15. Cook 5-7 min.( they will float when done)
  16. In a saute' pan melt 1 tbsp butter
  17. Add perogies and sautee to desired texture
  18. Transfer toa plate and immediately sift powdered sugar over hot perogies
  19. ENJOY!
