  1. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Fold in the chocolate chips, raisins, pecans and candies cherries.
  2. Transfer to a greased 9-in. x 5-in. loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 65-75 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. Combine glaze ingredients; drizzle over warm bread. Yield: 1 loaf.
