Best Ever Spanish Natillas

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of milk
  • 10 to 12 egg yolks
  • 5 tbsp of sugar
  • 2 tbsp of vanilla
  • 1 can evaporated milk (about 1 1/3cups)

Directions:

  1. 1Pour milk in saucepan on medium heat and turn it off just before starts to boil.
  2. 2In one bowl mix the egg yolks with the evaporated milk, vanilla and sugar.
  3. 3When the milk has lowered the temperature to warm, incorporate egg yolk mix to the warm milk an pour it in a round pyrex.
  4. 4Cover it with transparent film and put it in the microwave for 3 min. medium power.
  5. 5Using a whisk, whisk for 15 seconds.
  6. 6Cover it again.
  7. 7Microwave 3 min.
  8. 8whisk for 15 seconds.
  9. 9Cover it again.
  10. 10Microwave 3 minutes
  11. Repeat steps 7,8,9 until you get the consistency of the Natillas( yogurt consistency)
  12. Then wait till cool and refrigerate.

  14. Serve it with fresh fruit, with a piece of pound cake, with some cookies, etc.
  15. INCREDIBLE!!!
