Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 12 oz lager beer
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • note: i like to add a handful of chopped green olives and a clove of minced garlic. you could add a handful of walnuts or pecans as well.

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Spray an 8 inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  3. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Make a well in the center.
  5. Pour in beer and olive oil and mix until just blended.
  6. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake for approximately 45 minutes, or until golden brown and tester comes out clean.
  7. Serves 8 - 10 slices
