Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cook pasta in boiling salted water 10 minutes or until almost tender.
  2. Add asparagus; continue cooking 3 to 4 minutes or until pasta and asparagus are tender.
  3. Drain well.
  4. Meanwhile brown ground beef in large non-stick skillet over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes or until beef is not pink, breaking up into 3/4 inch crumbles.
  5. Remove from skillet with slotted spoon.
  6. Pour off drippings.
  7. Heat oil in same skillet over medium heat until hot.
  8. Add shallots and garlic; cook 3 to 4 minutes or until tender, stirring frequently.
  9. Remove from heat.
  10. Add beef; toss to mix.
  11. Season with salt and pepper, as desired.
  12. Combine beef mixture with pasta and asparagus in large bowl; toss well.
  13. Sprinkle with cheese, if desired.
