Beef and Bean Rollups

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 3 1/2 cups pork and beans
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup ketchup

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Brown the ground beef and drain.
  3. Add remaining ingredients for the meat mixture; set aside.
  4. In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  5. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  6. Add milk and molasses; stir just until dough clings together.
  7. On a lightly floured surface knead dough 5-6x.
  8. Rollout to 9x12 rectangle.
  9. Spread 3/4 cup meat mixture over dough.
  10. Starting with longer side, roll up.
  11. Cut into 12 1 slices.
  12. Pour remaining meat mixture into 13x9 pan.
  13. Place biscuit slices on meat mixture in pan.
  14. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly.
