Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 8 -10 tbsp buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped (optional)

Directions:

  1. 1. Mix in Order Given.
  2. 2. Add Baking Soda to Buttermilk.
  3. 3. Grease and Flour Loaf Pan.
  4. 4. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
