Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter (or shortening)
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped (optional)

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and sugar together.
  2. Add eggs.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients.
  4. Add dry ingredients to butter/sugar mixture.
  5. Stir in buttermilk.
  6. Mix in mashed bananas.
  7. Add vanilla and nuts, if using.
  8. Pour into greased loaf pan.
  9. Bake at 350 until a knife inserted comes out clean.
