Ingredients:

  • 2 cup. flour
  • 1/4 cup. shortening
  • 1/4 cup. milk

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to very hot (450 F.).
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add milk gradually, mixing until dough can be formed into a ball.
  5. Turn onto a lightly floured board and knead gently for a few seconds.
  6. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness.
  7. Cut out with floured biscuit cutter.
  8. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in preheated oven for 12- 15 minutes
  9. Serve hot
