Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup butter cut into pieces

Directions:

  1. Peel onions, leaving root ends intact.
  2. Cut each onion into eighths, cutting to, but not through root ends.
  3. Place each onion ona slightly greased square of foil
  4. Press butter into onions; sprinkle with salt, pepper and cheese
  5. Wrap onions in foil and arrange in a 13X9 inch pan.
  6. Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour.
