Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp clove
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1 tbsp flour

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs, beating well.
  3. Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves together.
  4. Add to butter mixture alternately with the applesauce.
  5. Toss the raisins with the 1 tablespoon flour.
  6. Stir raisins and pecans into batter.
  7. Pour into a well greased and floured loaf pan.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour.
  9. Remove from pan and cool on a rack.
