Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Grease and flour three 9x5-inch loaf pans or (8) 7 1/2 x 3-inch loaf pans.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin, oil, sugar, vanilla and eggs.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
  5. Stir dry ingedients into the pumpkin mixture until well blended. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  7. The top of the loaf should spring back when lightly pressed.
  8. Glaze:
  9. Mix juice of 1/2 orange with powdered sugar until desired consistency.
  10. Drizzle over warm loaves.
  11. When baking in small individual loaves, reduce baking time to approx. 40 minutes.
  12. *If using walnuts, roast them in a dry frying pan, or a 350° oven for approx. 3-5 min. to release the oils for a tastier nut.
