Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease glass pie or cake pan.
  3. Peel and slice apples and place them in the pan.
  4. Add 1/2 cup of water to the apple slices.
  5. Sprinkle cinnamon over the apples.
  6. I simply use enough cinnamon to completely cover the apple slices.
  7. It may look like too much, but it turns out great with a lot of cinnamon, not overpowering at all.
  8. In a large bowl, cut 1/4 butter (do not melt the butter) into 1 cup flour, and 1 cup sugar until crumbly.
  9. Sprinkle the topping over the apple slices.
  10. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
  11. Times may vary for different ovens.
  12. The topping will look light brown.
  13. Serve warm with french vanilla icecream!
