Ingredients:

  • 2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup diced carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup ham
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup flour

Directions:

  1. Combine water, vegetables and seasonings in a large kettle. Boil 10 minutes.
  2. In a small sauce pan make white sauce by melting butter, add flour and stir till smooth. Slowly add milk and let thicken slightly.
  3. Add white sauce, cheese and ham to vegetables that have not been drained.
  4. Heat through and serve.
