Amish Apple Cake With Caramel Sauce

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 350º F
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter. Add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg and beat until well blended. Mix in vanilla, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add flour and stir just until blended. Stir in apples and nuts. Pour into an oiled 9 round cake pan.
  3. Bake for 30 mins or until top springs back when touched lightly with your finger. Serve with Hot Caramel Sauce.

  5. In a saucepan, melt butter, brown sugar and salt. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla and milk. Serve warm sauce over cake.
