Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 slices bread , edges trimmed (kept overnight)
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Directions:

  1. Cut each bread slice into half.
  2. Beat eggs in a deep bowl, one at a time.
  3. Add flour, milk, mayo and the sugar to the eggs.
  4. Dip each slice into this mixture.
  5. Put the almonds on a plate.
  6. Put the bread slice on this so as to let the almond flakes stick to the bread.
  7. Heat oil in a pan.
  8. Fry each slice in it until golden brown on either side.
  9. Drain on clean paper towels.
  10. Serve hot.
